If you enjoyed “So You Want to be a Politician?” and the Philly Fringe hit, “Awesome Alliteration: The Magical Musical,” you’ll love our latest comedy: “The Boomerang Kid.”
This hilarious and heart-warming story follows Adam Blum, a 23-year-old who does what every millennial does after college: he moves back in with Mom and Dad! Fast forward one year and Adam always seems to be in the exact same position – slumped on the couch, ear buds in his ears, and eyes glued to his laptop. Adam’s parents try their best to motivate him through a loving mix of guilt-tripping and passive-aggressive sarcasm, but it takes his mom creating a fake JDate profile and inviting a nice Jewish girl over to the house to see that there’s more to Adam than they once realized.
“The Boomerang Kid” will be performed from January 10-27 at the Christ Church Neighborhood House. It stars the incredibly talented Alice Weber, Frank Ingulli, Madalyn St. John and Michael Mina.
